The standard

This site targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is a target and a measurement, not a certification: no one has certified this site and we do not claim otherwise.

What has been measured

Automated checks run against every page on each build and currently report:

• Every text and background pair meets or exceeds the AA contrast minimum. The palette was computed against the WCAG relative-luminance formula rather than eyeballed.
• Every interactive target is at least 24 by 24 CSS pixels.
• One h1 per page, and no heading level skipped.
• A skip link is the first focusable element on every page.
• No horizontal scrolling at 320, 375, 768, 1024, 1280 or 1440 pixels.
• Every decorative image is marked as decorative, so no meaning is carried by an image alone.
• Color alone never carries meaning. Form errors use text and an icon as well.

Other properties

• The site works with keyboard alone. Focus is always visible.
• Motion respects prefers-reduced-motion. The marquee stops entirely.
• Dark mode follows your system setting.
• Text reflows to 200 percent zoom without loss of content.
• There is no CAPTCHA anywhere.

What is not done

• The site has not been tested with a screen reader by a person who uses one daily. That is the most useful test there is and we have not run it.
• No independent audit has been commissioned.
• Arabic is not yet available, so right-to-left has not been implemented.
